8th graders! Interested in visiting Mather?

New York City, NY – As the school year kicks off, eighth-grade students in the Big Apple are preparing to make one of the most important decisions of their academic journey - choosing a high school. To help make this decision more informed, Mather High School is inviting all 8th graders and their families to explore our school options through a series of open houses and tours.

We aim to provide students with an up-close look at the diverse range of options presented at Mather with our specialized program, opportunities for multiple career pathways, and learning environments to suit every student's interests and goals.

Our open houses will run through October and November.

Attendees can expect to:

  1. Tour Our Campus: Get a firsthand view of Mather's campus, classrooms, and facilities. This will help students gauge the school's atmosphere and assess if it meets their needs.

  2. Meet Teachers and Students: Interact with current students and teachers to gain insights into the school's culture, academic programs, and extracurricular opportunities.

  3. Learn About Programs: Discover specialized programs, clubs, and extracurricular activities offered at Mather. From our partnership with the National Park Service to our extensive list of extracurriculars, there's something for everyone.

  4. Ask Questions: Have questions about admissions, curricula, or any other aspect of high school life? These open houses provide the perfect opportunity to seek answers directly from school staff.

  5. Collect Information: Pick up brochures, application materials, and important dates to stay organized in the application process.

It's worth noting that these open houses are not just for students; parents and guardians are encouraged to attend as well. Making this decision is a family effort, and having a shared understanding of the available options can make the process smoother for everyone involved.

We hope to see you soon!!
