We will do this together in Live mode!

This should take you two days: First, work through the slides to create your own character. Then, use that character to create a short story.
All of this should be done in Spanish and model the stories you read last week.

The audio allows you to listen to the story as you read. Read the directions carefully for the activities that follow each story.

Instructions: on the next slide, click on the video to the left of the lyrics. The video will help you identify the occupations that you see pictured. You may need to listen to the song more than one time to identify all of the occupations. The words that you will use to fill in the Spanish blanks are bolded within the song lyrics. 

Depending on which Edpuzzle you chose to watch, complete that reading and summarize the story.

1. Rewrite the story from the 1st person point of view.
2. Write your own story & Develop questions for it.

After doing the Tyrah Quizizz,

Work in groups of two to unscramble the words in the envelope (in class) and make logical sentences based on the vocabulary.
You should have 7 sentences composed of 4 parts when they are done. 
Copy down the sentences onto your note-taker in Google Classroom.  
Translate sentences to English. 
Illustrate the sentences using Adobe Text-to-Image Generator.
Mix up words when done and put them back in the envelope. Be careful not to drop and lose some words on the floor.

With a partner, match the card to the sentence it belongs with and translate the sentence.

Work through the activities to learn about calacas and alebrijes. Check out slide 7 for the independent practice.

Read through the slides and do the activities. Then, do the Edpuzzle.

Watch the video, do the activities. Then, read the text and write a summary sentence in Spanish.

Write your own SIMPLE Sentences using our vocabulary words... do not use google translate. If you cannot understand the sentence you are producing in Spanish, I don't want it! Look at my example!

After the Edpuzzle, read the text & complete the activity.

We will read the first story together in class.
Then from slide 2, choose ONE story to complete.
Choose EITHER slide 3 or 4 to complete.

In total you should have 3 stories done before you turn this in.

Choose your proficiency level (you will EITHER do slides 1-2 OR 3-4)

2. Illustrate each person. Your picture needs to show that you understood the reading (Gender? Personality traits? What do they like?) You can use Adobe express text to image or search google for a picture that fits the description. 
3. Answer the questions below the illustrations.

Read slides 2-9 and answer the questions on Slide 11 or 12 as you read the biographies.
For novice-low students, you can use the questions in English in Slide 11. For novice-mid, novice-high, use the questions in Spanish located in Slide 12.
If you finishes early, do Slide 14, since that is an early finisher activity.

Work through the slides. When they say READ THIS, you are reading for information. The slide that follows is an activity slide.

Read the rubric & requirements on the first slide. 
Sign up for a country on slide 2. 
Then, go to the slide for your assigned country & begin working. 
Be careful not to delete any slides or mess up someone else's work.
